Honda announces an extensive European warranty program for motorcycles and scooters

Honda Motor Europe announces a new SAWA warranty program, which applies to motorcycles and scooters purchased from the beginning of April 2025. The new warranty is available in 15 European countries and can be extended annually for up to six years.

Honda Motor Europe is pleased to announce the launch of a new warranty activated by a service inspection - SAWA, which applies to vehicles purchased from the beginning of April 2025. It will be launched in 14 EU countries and the UK and will cover all Honda motorcycles and scooters* used on the roads for a period of up to six years from the date of first registration.
Conditions for the new 6-year Honda warranty
The condition for benefiting from the new comprehensive warranty is the completion of scheduled inspections at authorized Honda dealers, using original spare parts. The two-year warranty period will then automatically be extended by another twelve months. It can be extended in this way every year, but for a maximum of six years from the registration of the vehicle. Furthermore, the warranty is linked to the product and not to the owner. This means that the program can continue after the vehicle is sold to another user, and thus used Honda motorcycles and scooters will also be covered by long-term protection** in all 15 countries.
The new warranty program is available at over 800 dealers in 15 countries, demonstrating Honda's great confidence in the quality, reliability, and durability of its entire range of models - from the electric EM1 e: to the luxury touring motorcycle of the premium class, GL1800 Gold Wing.

- Note: models not registered for road use are not covered by the warranty.
** The warranty is available to subsequent vehicle owners only if the previous owner has fulfilled all service requirements. The new owner is responsible for adhering to the program requirements to extend the warranty for an additional period.
