Geely saved one surprise until the very end of its Paris Motor Show 2026 press conference. Aiden He, the brand’s European CEO, introduced it with the words “One More Thing” before unveiling Project KO11: a new all-terrain SUV with plug-in hybrid power. What Geely has revealed about the KO11

According to the manufacturer, the KO11 combines bold proportions and genuine rough-terrain potential with advanced plug-in hybrid technology. Geely is also promising:

very strong performance and a dynamic driving experience,
advanced suspension technology,
intelligent drive modes tailored to different surfaces,
a range of new features, with further details still to come.

Geely describes the KO11 as one of its most ambitious SUV projects. Paris gave European visitors their first chance to see it in person. At the same press conference, the brand also showed the city-focused Geely E2 and the flagship Monjaro EM-i; we have rounded up all three launches in our Geely Paris Motor Show 2026 overview.

The press material also refers to a “new Geely Monjaro”. However, Geely has not explained whether the KO11 will sit within that model line or become a separate model. Its official name should provide the answer.

Quite a lot, so it is a long list:

the production name, because KO11 is currently only a project codename,
power output, battery capacity, electric range and off-road specifications, including ground clearance, approach and departure angles, wading depth, low-range gearing and differential locks,
dimensions and kerb weight,
the price and whether the vehicle will be confirmed for the UK alongside its European launch.

The second point is particularly important. Almost every SUV now offers surface-specific driving modes. Whether the KO11 is a proper off-roader will depend on the hardware: low-range gearing, locking differentials and ground clearance. Geely has not published those figures yet.

Why this project is worth watching

Plug-in hybrid off-roaders are still an emerging part of the European market. For travellers, it is an appealing combination: the option of electric running or lower fuel consumption on the way there, plus a useful reserve of capability once the tarmac ends. If you ride an adventure bike and enjoy gravel tracks, you will understand the value of that extra margin.

Geely has been developing plug-in hybrid technology for some time. In the UK, the Starray EM-i Super Hybrid PHEV is already available, with prices starting from £29,990 on the road. The KO11 could be the next step: an SUV designed not merely to cope with a gravel road, but with off-road use considered from the outset.
